Italian Barber Shave Soap Rosa di Bossolasco
One of the great benefits of running this business is that I get to travel to Italy often to seek out new products, new fragrances and new inspirations. On a recent trip, I had the pleasure of exploring the Langhe area of Piedmont, in northern Italy. The Langhe area is a pearl of Italy unknown to most tourists. It was inscribed to the UNESCO World Heritage List in June of 2014 and is home to such delicacies as the white truffle and world famous Nocciole that inspired one of the most popular snack spreads of our generation, Nutella! It's landscape is made up of beautiful hills and winding roads with a backdrop of some of the most prestigious vineyards on earth, producing powerhouse wines like Barolo, Barbaresco, Nebbiolo and Dolcetto. Next time you are in Italy, trust me, spend some time in this area, the food is spectacular! Anyway, on to this soap :) When I was in The Langhe area, I had the pleasure of visiting a picturesque and quaint small town called Bossolasco, high in the Alte Langhe, it was here that a good friend introduced me to a special rose flower that has such a delicate and fresh scent. You can see from the second picture is this listing, the heart of this rose is yellow and when it fully comes to bloom, the entire flower turns yellow(third picture). I'm usually not a fan of rose scents, but this rose produces a completely different aroma that is light and citrus-y, a scent I really enjoy. With the help of our friends in Italy, we have captured this scent and brought it to you in a wonderful shaving soap! Keeping with the theme of the Langhe, we have enriched this soap formula with olio di nocciola (Hazelnut oil) for the post shave nourishing benefits.
